The Pennyroyal Blue Springs diving site is located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, an easy 80 mile drive from  Mermet Springs in Metropolis Illinois. The quarry at Pennyroyal Blue Springs ranges from five feet to 120 feet deep, and offers over 40 underwater attractions; ensuring a level and interest for divers of all ages and skill sets.

This quarry is packed with historical significance. As you dive the depths of the quarry make sure to find the main attraction—a 1941 Dodge Fire Truck! In addition to that you will find a UH-1 helicopter, motorcycles, four-wheelers and even an old school bus! The site itself offers an interesting back-story, as it used to be a 22-acre limestone quarry owned and operated by Christian Co. Quarry. The site was shut down in 1986 after several leaks were struck, and it’s a good thing too as this is a dive site well worth the short trip! Pennyroyal Blue Springs has been inviting divers into its clear and cool water since 1994, and is well-known to be a great diving experience for both beginning and advanced divers due to its wide range of depths and attractions.

While diving be prepared to come face-to-face with marine life, including largemouth bass, catfish, Koi and bluegill. There are several on-site amenities available at Pennyroyal that make your stay there convenient and enjoyable. There are restrooms, a concession stand, camping facilities and picnic tables available for your use throughout the park. Overall, Pennyroyal Blue Springs provides an enchanting diving experience that is ideal for the entire family.
